At Luminaire, culture and design converge to tell stories that transcend the ordinary.
With the arrival of Flexform’s celebrated Indoor and Outdoor Collections and the opening of a dedicated Flexform Mono Space in Chicago, a new chapter unfolds, one defined not by introduction alone, but by an alignment of philosophy, space, and a shared belief in design as a way of living.
First revealed within the quiet cloisters of Sant’Angelo during Milano Design Week 2025, Flexform’s Outdoor Collection emerged as a study in measured ease. Beneath filtered light and open sky, modular silhouettes traced a dialogue between architecture and landscape.
Now, that same sensibility finds its place at Luminaire Chicago, translated not as replication, but as resonance.
At Luminaire Chicago, Flexform's Outdoor Collection is grounded in a quiet rigor, where material innovation meets intuitive design. The Camelot Outdoor Sofa unfolds as a kind of modular architecture, structured in powder-coated aluminum yet softened by weather-resistant textiles that invite repose. Nearby, the Oasis and Calipso seating families introduce a more sculptural language, their sinuous forms embracing both the body and the surrounding landscape with an almost organic ease. Anchoring the composition, the Torcello Outdoor Table offers a moment of calm clarity, its proportions resolved with precision and balance. Together, these pieces extend the idea of living outward where comfort, beauty, and durability exist in seamless continuity.
Inside, the narrative deepens as Flexform’s interior collection unfolds through a series of spatial gestures that are layered, architectural, and quietly immersive. The Loungescape system by Antonio Citterio dissolves the boundary between seating and environment, creating a landscape for living that is both structured and fluid. In contrast, the Ozzy Armchair by Patrick Norguet offers a more intimate expression, its soft contours balancing comfort with a refined restraint.
The Enn Table by Fumie Shibata completes the dialogue with a quiet minimalism, where material integrity becomes its own form of ornament. Throughout, monumental rope and wood screens articulate the space with subtle authority, shaping moments of intimacy within the larger volume and an interplay of openness and enclosure that reflects the way we move, gather, and dwell.
To honor this exceptional collection, we’ve introduced an environment where the full expression of the Flexform brand unfolds with clarity and intention.
Within the three-level timber loft of Luminaire Chicago, the Flexform Mono Space emerges not as a showroom within a showroom, but as a focused lens. Here, Flexform’s ethos of modern simplicity and its commitment to proportion and material finds a natural counterpart. The installation invites visitors to move fluidly between indoor and outdoor environments, experiencing the collection at full scale and in context, where one discovers how space can be composed, and how life unfolds within it.

Flexform has long resisted the urgency of trends, instead embracing a vision rooted in permanence. Founded in Meda in 1959, the family-run company continues to define a distinctly Italian approach to living as one that is measured, tactile, and quietly sophisticated.
At Luminaire Chicago, this philosophy is amplified in the showroom itself as part gallery, part laboratory, part cultural forum, the ideal setting for Flexform’s language of understated luxury. Together, they offer something increasingly rare: a vision of design that does not seek attention but rather rewards it.
We invite you to book a private appointment to immerse yourself in Flexform’s vision, where every curve, every surface, and every detail reflects Luminaire’s enduring commitment to extraordinary design.
Here, full-scale installations of both indoor and outdoor pieces invite a deeper understanding of form and proportion, while conversations with our design specialists open pathways to tailored, highly personal solutions. Textiles, finishes, and configurations reveal themselves in real time, offering a tactile dialogue between material and space.
Experience for yourself how good design is a force of living, nurturing one’s daily routines with joy and purpose.

The Cassina Cab Armchair: When Leather Becomes Structure
Mario Bellini's Cab Armchair for Cassina, introduced in 1977, proposed something the furniture world had not seen before: leather not as a covering, but as a load-bearing skin. This is a study in how a single material can rewrite the logic of an entire object, and why that object still holds its ground in contemporary design culture.
