There are moments when design extends beyond form and enters feeling. Spaces open, the air shifts, and the boundaries between interior and exterior begin to dissolve.
At Luminaire Coral Gables, this sensation came to life through Dreaming Outdoors, an evening dedicated to the latest outdoor collection from Edra. Here, the language of contemporary design unfolded in the open air, revealing a vision of living that is both refined and deeply human.
Guests entered a world shaped by texture, light, and presence. Each piece offered both a function and a sense of retreat. It was a place to pause, to gather, and to experience beauty with intention.

Within this curated setting, comfort became expressive. Form responded to the body, inviting interaction and ease. At the center of the experience was the On the Rocks Outdoor Sofa by Francesco Binfare, where generous proportions and sculptural composition created a landscape of seating that felt both expansive and intimate. Geometry softened into something instinctive, encouraging moments of rest and connection.
Nearby, the Standalto Outdoor Sofa introduced Edra’s Smart Cushion technology into the outdoor environment. Adaptable and responsive, it offered a new dimension of comfort, shaped by the ways we choose to inhabit space, transforming the surroundings into a place of belonging and warmth.
Materiality carried the experience further, blurring the line between nature and design. Works from the A’mare Collection by Jacopo Foggini introduced a luminous quality that felt almost elemental. Surfaces caught the light with a fluidity that echoed water, translating natural inspiration into expressive form.
The result was an environment where objects felt alive. Not static, but shifting with light, movement, and perception. A dialogue between the crafted and the organic unfolded across the space, offering a sense of harmony that felt both grounded and elevated.

As the experience evolved, guests were welcomed into The Scent of Glass, an installation by Santambrogio Milano. Here, transparency and reflection shaped a setting for shared conversation and dining.
A three-course dinner unfolded within this crystalline atmosphere, where light, material, and connection merged into a single experience. Stories were exchanged, perspectives expanded, and the emotional resonance of design became fully present.
At Luminaire, these moments reflect a broader philosophy that design is not simply seen, it is more fully lived, felt, and remembered.

Dreaming Outdoors revealed how outdoor environments can become extensions of our inner lives. They are spaces of comfort, beauty, and reflection that support how we gather and how we restore.
Through its collaboration with Edra, Luminaire continues to shape experiences that move beyond individual pieces into a complete vision of living. From concept to installation, each project becomes an opportunity to create spaces that resonate on a deeper level.
We invite you to explore the Edra Outdoor Collection within our showrooms and discover how these pieces can transform your own environment. Connect with our design team to begin a conversation about how you live, gather, and dream.

The Cassina Cab Armchair: When Leather Becomes Structure
Mario Bellini's Cab Armchair for Cassina, introduced in 1977, proposed something the furniture world had not seen before: leather not as a covering, but as a load-bearing skin. This is a study in how a single material can rewrite the logic of an entire object, and why that object still holds its ground in contemporary design culture.
