Luminaire is proud to embrace Paola Lenti in the Bay Area, offering her visionary collections across our showrooms in Menlo Park and San Francisco.
Color came first.
Long before her collections filled terraces and interiors around the world, Paola Lenti experimented with pigments, studying how hues shift in light, how texture deepens tone, and how color can transform a space into an emotion. Those early explorations became the foundation of a design language now recognized globally, vibrant, tactile, and quietly revolutionary.
Since founding her namesake company in 1994, Paola Lenti has built an entire domestic universe where rugs, seating, textiles, and modular systems live in harmony. Her work dissolves boundaries between indoors and outdoors, technology and craft, tradition and innovation. Sculptural pieces like the Float chaise, woven rugs saturated with layered color, and modular seating systems create environments that feel both timeless and alive.
At the heart of every collection is research. Materials are developed slowly and deliberately, often over years. The award-winning Rope yarn, for example, emerged from four years of experimentation, eventually offering a spectrum of nearly 300 hues, each one designed to interact with light, architecture, and landscape.
This commitment to innovation extends through Paola Lenti’s long-standing collaboration with designer Francesco Rota, whose work helped redefine outdoor living by bringing the comfort, refinement, and sophistication of interior design into open-air environments. Rugs remain central to this vision, anchoring spaces with texture, color, and quiet structure. Woven, hand-tufted, or loomed, each piece reflects a balance of artisanal care and advanced production.
Sustainability, too, is woven into the story. Durable, recyclable materials and low-impact processes shape collections designed not only to endure, but to evolve with time. The result is design that feels essential, expressive, and deeply human.
For Luminaire, this philosophy resonates naturally. For over fifty years, Luminaire has introduced clients to the most influential voices in global design, designers who shape not only objects, but experiences.
Today, that story continues.
Luminaire is proud to reintroduce Paola Lenti to the Bay Area, culminating in her presence at Luminaire Menlo Park, where her collections unfold in dialogue with light, landscape, and architecture. Here, color meets California air. Textures soften the boundaries between indoors and out. Spaces invite gathering, conversation, and quiet moments alike.
Luminaire in Menlo Park and San Francisco thus become more than standard design showrooms. With Paola Lenti now anchoring our Bay Area presence, we reaffirm our mission: to deliver a Total Design Experience through curated solutions, personal consultation, and exclusive access to the international design network.
To fully experience this world is to see it through your own lens, imagining color, texture, and form within the rhythms of your own space. Through personalized consultation, Luminaire invites you to explore Paola Lenti’s aesthetic in a way that is uniquely yours, guided by our design experts and tailored to your vision.
We invite you to discover Paola Lenti at Luminaire Menlo Park and San Francisco, where color becomes atmosphere and design becomes a way of living.

The Cassina Cab Armchair: When Leather Becomes Structure
Mario Bellini's Cab Armchair for Cassina, introduced in 1977, proposed something the furniture world had not seen before: leather not as a covering, but as a load-bearing skin. This is a study in how a single material can rewrite the logic of an entire object, and why that object still holds its ground in contemporary design culture.
