With much anticipated enthusiasm and a passion for innovation through connection, Luminaire Coral Gables welcomed South Florida’s leading developers, architects, and designers on September 18 for the 2025 Pre-Construction Development Summit, organized by PROFILEmiami. In an evening where Miami’s luxury real estate and design community gathered to envision what comes next, guests shared ideas while reimagining the city’s most refined and ambitious futures.

As a defining event in Miami’s luxury development calendar, the annual Pre-Construction Development Summit unites over 400 developers, architects, brokers, investors, and design teams, an entire ecosystem shaping pre-construction real estate.
Projects are introduced, refined, and tested against market dynamics, evolving lifestyle expectations, and the demands of a global, design-conscious clientele. Through panels, exhibitions, and conversations that are both strategic and social, ambition is distilled into direction.
What emerges is the calibrated alignment between vision, capital, and context, setting the foundation for Miami’s next generation of high-end residential and mixed-use spaces.

Throughout the evening, beneath the inspired glow of carefully curated interiors, the summit came alive with dialogue. Within Luminaire’s design-forward flagship showroom in Coral Gables, conversation unfolded as a kind of spatial practice, fluid, intentional, and layered. Leaders in architecture, high-end residential development, and design exchanged ideas that traced the outlines of projects not yet realized. Here, Miami’s skyline was not a fixed image, but a living composition, shaped by those who design it and elevated by those who demand excellence in how it is experienced.
Moving between panel discussions and intimate exchanges, a shared understanding began to surface, that design is not an embellishment, but an origin point. It shapes not only how spaces appear, but how they are lived, experienced, and remembered. The atmosphere carried a quiet conviction, one long held by Luminaire, that when design and development operate in harmony, the result transcends function, becoming something enduring, elevated, and distinctly human.

As the evening drew to a close, what lingered was not only connection, but momentum. At Luminaire, we are deeply grateful to our partners, panelists, and guests for making the 2025 Pre-Construction Development Summit a meaningful gathering within Miami’s design and development community.
Committed to serving as a collaborator, connector, and trusted resource for bringing visionary, high-end projects to life, we invite you to connect with our team to begin your next project and continue a dialogue shaped by intention, where the city, still in progress, gathers itself in imagination before it rises into form.

The Cassina Cab Armchair: When Leather Becomes Structure
Mario Bellini's Cab Armchair for Cassina, introduced in 1977, proposed something the furniture world had not seen before: leather not as a covering, but as a load-bearing skin. This is a study in how a single material can rewrite the logic of an entire object, and why that object still holds its ground in contemporary design culture.
