Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed the Servomuto in 1974 as part of the Servi family for Zanotta, a series that demonstrated how rigorous reduction of form can produce an object both useful and quietly radical. The tall version stands as the most elemental expression of that thinking: a slender rod, a weighted base, a small circular top. Nothing superfluous.
The top is reversible, surfaced in black and white plastic laminate, offering a graphic contrast that reads as a deliberate choice rather than a decorative afterthought. A single knob at the column allows the table to be repositioned effortlessly, making it as much a tool as a piece of furniture.
