Mezzadro by Zanotta is the iconic stool designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1957, a radical assembly of industrial and everyday references that still feels strikingly contemporary. Its tractor-style seat, arched steel stem, and wooden footrest create a poetic tension between rural memory, mechanical ingenuity, and refined design.

The stool features a chromium-plated steel stem, a lacquered seat in orange, red, yellow, white, or black, and a steam-treated beech footrest in natural color. Playful yet precise, Mezzadro is a landmark of Italian design and a sculptural accent for kitchens, studies, galleries, and design-led interiors.
