Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) was a French architect and designer whose collaboration with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret helped define the modernist interior. Her work consistently drew from natural forms, vernacular craft, and her deep connection to alpine landscapes, resulting in objects that feel both elemental and precisely considered.

Le Monde de Charlotte Perriand is Cassina's ongoing tribute to Perriand's broader creative world, extending beyond furniture into objects and tableware that reflect her philosophy. The collection is developed in close collaboration with her estate and the Perriand archive.

The Arete plates are crafted in Italy from ceramic, finished with a relief pattern that references the ridgelines and textures of alpine terrain central to Perriand's visual language.

The Arete dessert plates are functional tableware, designed for use at the table. As with all ceramic pieces, care should be taken to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning and handling to preserve the relief surface over time.

Cassina works directly with the estates and archives of the designers it represents, ensuring that proportions, materials, and production methods remain faithful to the original vision. For Perriand's work, this means close collaboration with her daughter Pernette Perriand-Barsac and the associated foundation.
