With two materially rich trapezoidal planes, one smaller than the other, Stadera by Cassina is eye-catching and makes a remarkable statement in every room it inhabits. It is a piece of great tactile and visual refinement, sophisticated and elegant as it stands on a single leg, creating an illusion of instability while achieving a cleverly balanced composition in the shape of a scale.

Varied thickness outlines the frame as one plane is thicker than the other, the higher of the two available with a leather top. In Italian, "stradera" means balance, hence it is not surprising that this design should challenge our perceptions of poise and equilibrium.
