Hita is Dordoni Studio's second collaboration with Porro, following the Twin sideboard, and it carries the same sensibility: a continuous outer volume that reads as sculpture before it reads as seating. The silhouette is taut, even severe at first glance, with fabric stretched firmly across the backrest shell.
The contrast arrives from within. A generously cushioned seat softens the rigorous exterior, creating a quiet dialogue between restraint and comfort that defines the chair's character.
The asymmetrical conical base in wood is structural and compositional in equal measure. Its swiveling mechanism, available with an optional return function, keeps the form dynamic without compromising the overall precision of the piece. The base tapers the chair's visual weight, lending it an airborne quality despite its substance.
