Born 1954 | Italy

Rodolfo Dordoni was born in Milan in 1954 and graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1979. Emerging during a pivotal moment in Italian design, he quickly established himself through a language defined by clarity, proportion, and understated elegance. Dordoni believed in creating objects and environments that were sophisticated yet restrained, where form, material, and function worked in quiet harmony. His work consistently reflected a deep respect for tradition while embracing modern industrial processes.

Throughout his career, Dordoni collaborated with some of the most respected names in international design, including Minotti, Cassina, Flos, Foscarini, Artemide, and Zanotta. Beyond product design, he played a crucial strategic role in shaping brand identities, most notably as art director for Minotti, helping define its global aesthetic. In 2005 he founded Dordoni Architetti, focusing on architecture and interior design projects worldwide. Dordoni passed away in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of enduring elegance and a profound impact on contemporary Italian design.
