Brezza
Made by Porro
Designed by Piero Lissoni
The Brezza chair is a study in considered evolution. Piero Lissoni, one of Italy's most articulate design voices, revisited his own Frank chair and reinterpreted it through the material language Porro does best: wood, shaped with precision and restraint.
The enveloping shell backrest and padded seat carry over from the original, preserving a silhouette that is at once generous and composed. What shifts is the structural gesture beneath. The legs, turned in solid black-stained ash, move through a circular cross-section that varies along their length, giving each leg a quiet elegance that purely rectangular forms cannot achieve.
Ash is a wood of particular character: open-grained, resilient, and responsive to stain in ways that reveal rather than obscure its natural figure. The black finish here deepens that presence without theatrical effect. The result reads as both grounded and refined, a chair that belongs as naturally in a considered residential interior as in a gallery or hospitality setting.
