Arnaldo
Made by Porro
Designed by Glenn Pushelberg & George Yabu
The Arnaldo armchair emerges from an unlikely dialogue: Porro's deep roots in Italian furniture-making, and the cross-continental sensibility of Yabu Pushelberg, the design studio with offices in New York and Toronto whose work spans interiors, hospitality, and objects across more than 100 professionals.
Its defining gesture is structural. The seat is suspended between the armrests and backrest, held in a composition that balances mass and absence with precision. Solids give way to voids; the silhouette reads as compact without feeling closed.
Upholstery in fabric or leather wraps the chair's soft volumes, adapting its character to context. In a domestic setting, Arnaldo accumulates presence over years. In a hospitality environment, it holds a quiet authority without demanding attention.
