Jacopo Foggini drew from the Aegean archipelago to create the Cicladi Table, a low table that reads as much as sculpture as it does furniture. The alabaster top is shaped by what geologists call the "crude egg" formation, a process of evaporated mineral deposit that produces jagged, irregular edges, shifting veins, and facets no two pieces share.
Viewed from above, each table suggests a small island rising from still water. The silhouette is never repeated. Color, edge, and surface vary with the particular stone, making each Cicladi a singular object rather than a product in the conventional sense.
A cone-shaped metal base anchors the organic form with quiet precision, setting the natural drama of the stone against a resolved geometric support. The dialogue between raw geology and refined metalwork is the defining gesture of the piece.
