A'mare Collection
Made by Edra
Designed by Jacopo Foggini
Jacopo Foggini conceived A'mare as an investigation into light and materiality, translating the restless optical quality of water into solid, handcrafted form. Each piece, whether chair, bench, sun lounger, or side table, is assembled by hand from irregular polycarbonate rods, a process that ensures no two objects share an identical surface.
Polycarbonate was chosen with precision: its optical clarity allows light to pass through and diffract, while its structural resilience makes it equally at home outdoors and in. The collection reads differently at dawn than at midday, differently still under artificial light, and that mutability is not incidental. It is the governing idea.
Foggini's practice has long centered on the handmade, on forms that carry the evidence of the hand that shaped them. A'mare extends that sensibility into the scale of furniture, where the process of construction becomes inseparable from the object's identity. The result is a collection that belongs as readily to the garden as to the gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions
What material is the A'mare Collection made from?
Each piece is handcrafted from irregular polycarbonate rods. Polycarbonate offers high optical clarity and strong resistance to UV exposure and weather, making it well suited to outdoor environments.
Is the A'mare Collection suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The polycarbonate construction is engineered to withstand outdoor conditions, including sun exposure and moisture, without compromising its optical character or structural integrity.
Who is designer Jacopo Foggini?
Jacopo Foggini is an Italian designer and artist known for his distinctive use of polycarbonate, a medium he shapes by hand into objects that occupy the space between furniture and sculpture. His work is held in private and institutional collections internationally.
What pieces are included in the A'mare Collection?
The collection comprises chairs, benches, sun loungers, and side tables, each sharing the same handcrafted polycarbonate construction and the optical quality that defines the series.
Is each A'mare piece unique?
Because the polycarbonate rods are assembled by hand and the geometry is intentionally irregular, each piece carries subtle variations in surface and light refraction, making no two objects exactly alike.
