Description

The Yori-Kiri armchair designed by Francesca Lanzavecchia is a sculptural bergère that invites repose, blending generous curvature and soft padding with refined proportions that wrap the sitter in comfort. Inspired by a Japanese sumo technique that conveys strength, balance and control, its enveloping armrests extend around a high backrest while maintaining architectural clarity. An integrated synchronized mechanism, concealed within the seat, allows the backrest to recline smoothly or lock in any position with intuitive ease. Crafted with a steel frame, polyurethane foam made from vegetable-based polyols and recycled PET filling, it combines sustainable engineering with removable upholstery for lasting use in contemporary interiors.
