Francesca Lanzavecchia is an Italian industrial designer born in Pavia in 1983. She studied Industrial Design at Politecnico di Milano before completing a master's degree in Conceptual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven, graduating with honors in 2008. Her education helped shape a multidisciplinary practice in which design operates as a form of research, storytelling, and cultural observation.
In 2010, she co-founded Lanzavecchia + Wai with Singaporean designer Hunn Wai. Based between Pavia and Singapore, the studio has developed furniture, lighting, installations, interiors, limited editions, and inclusive design projects for international brands and cultural institutions. Lanzavecchia's work is distinguished by its attention to human experience, material experimentation, and the ability of objects to support both physical and emotional well-being. Her collaborations include Zanotta, Hermès, Cappellini, FIAM, Living Divani, Foscarini, Trussardi Casa, and the Triennale Milano.
