Jasper Morrison conceived the Three Sofa de Luxe in 1992 as a quiet provocation: a seat that refuses to be only a seat. The collection occupies a precise point between sofa and dormeuse, its silhouette neither fully upright nor fully reclined, but held in a considered equilibrium.
Morrison's sensibility has always favored reduction over decoration. Here, that restraint produces forms that carry genuine sculptural weight without announcing themselves. The proportions are deliberate, the gesture restrained, and the identity unmistakable.
