One of Jasper Morrison's earliest design projects, the One Legged Table has been revisited by Cappellini nearly four decades after its original conception, arriving with the same spare authority it carried from the beginning.
The structure is a single-leg metal frame, matt painted in either grey or dark brown. Its asymmetry is the point: an unconventional support that holds the form in deliberate tension. The top is tempered float glass, sandblasted on both sides, producing a soft, diffused quality of light rather than a hard reflection. A satin-resistant transparent varnish preserves the surface while allowing the material to read on its own terms.
Morrison's approach has always been one of rigorous subtraction: removing what isn't necessary without diminishing what remains. This console distills that sensibility into a single object. Small in its footprint, it holds a quiet presence in a room.
