Santorini Outdoor Sofa
Made by Paola Lenti
Designed by Francesco Rota
Francesco Rota conceived the Santorini as a study in generous proportion and quiet adaptability. The system moves between two- and three-seat configurations, a shaped platform, and a pouf, each element interlocking at varying angles to respond to the specific geometry of a terrace, garden, or covered loggia.
The structure is built on cataphoresis-treated steel, a process that protects the frame from corrosion at the molecular level. Stainless steel sled bases are finished in avorio or grafite, grounding the composition with considered restraint.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does cataphoresis treatment do for outdoor furniture?
Cataphoresis, also called electrocoating, applies a protective layer to the steel frame at the molecular level, creating uniform corrosion resistance across every surface, including recessed joints. It is widely regarded as one of the most durable anti-corrosion processes available for outdoor furniture frames.
Is the Santorini sofa suitable for a seafront or coastal setting?
Yes. The cataphoresis-treated steel frame and stainless steel sled bases are specifically engineered to resist the accelerated oxidation common in salt-air environments. The waterproof upholstery further supports year-round coastal use.
Can the Santorini modules be rearranged over time?
The Santorini is designed as a flexible modular system. Individual two-seater, three-seater, platform, and pouf elements can be reconfigured at varying angles, allowing the composition to adapt as a space or its use evolves.
What makes Paola Lenti's upholstery materials environmentally responsible?
Paola Lenti develops proprietary textile solutions that are fully waterproof and UV-stable while also being biodegradable at end of life, reducing the environmental footprint of outdoor furnishings without sacrificing performance or visual quality.
