The Ficupala lamp by Cassina occupies a territory between post-modern invention and Art Déco sensibility. Its silhouette borrows from the natural architecture of the plant world, translating organic forms into a composition of blown glass, liquid-painted metal, and a base of Marquinia black marble.
Blown glass appears twice: once as the body, again as the diffuser. The two together create a softness of light that reads differently at every hour. Against this, the marble base grounds the form with geological weight, its veining distinct and unrepeatable.
