Ficupala Pendant Lamp

Ficupala arrived in 2019 as part of Cassina's ICONS collection, a program dedicated to objects with an archival depth and a contemporary sensibility. Across three distinct forms, it holds a consistent material conversation between marquinia marble and mouth-blown glass.

The floor lamp rises to 138 cm on a deep black marquinia marble base, its pink glass body catching and filtering light into warm gradients. The table lamp, at 59 cm, pairs the same marble with a taupe grey lacquered body, offering diffusers in pink lacquered or olive green glass. The pendant dispenses with stone altogether, suspending a glossy rose-gold structure from which fumé or taupe grey glass bodies descend.

The palette is deliberate, earthy tones set against mineral black and the warmth of rose-gold. Each variant is a study in proportion as much as in material, the weight of marble grounding forms that read as almost delicate in glass.
