Dot Pattern Light Suspension
Made by Cassina
Designed by Charles & Ray Eames
The Dot Pattern Light suspension is a study in reduction. Its surface geometry does not decorate so much as structure the light itself, scattering illumination through a precise, repeating field of apertures that animate both the fixture and the space beneath it.
Cassina has long operated at the intersection of industrial precision and cultural ambition. Founded in Meda in 1927, the house built its reputation by commissioning architects and designers as primary authors, not simply stylists. The Dot Pattern Light continues in that lineage: form follows a clear intellectual proposition.
- Suspension format suited to dining, reception, and gallery environments
- Patterned diffuser that modulates light into ambient geometry
- A silhouette that reads with equal authority in period interiors and contemporary ones
The fixture rewards proximity. Up close, the dot grid reads as deliberate craft. From across the room, it resolves into atmosphere.
