The BM1069 was designed by Børge Mogensen, one of the most consequential figures in Danish modernism. Mogensen studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy and developed a practice grounded in functional clarity, careful proportion, and respect for materials.

Untreated teak requires minimal care. For indoor use, occasional wiping with a damp cloth is sufficient. If you wish to preserve the warm honey tone of new teak, a periodic application of teak oil will slow the natural greying process, though many prefer to allow the patina to develop naturally.
