Vetro rotondo Treflo
Made by Cassina
Designed by Erwan & Ronan Bouroullec
- Struttura interna e zavorra in metallo verniciato nero

Domande Frequenti
What is the base of the Treflo table made from?
The base is formed from rigid polyurethane enriched with polyols derived from biological sources. It achieves its sinuous, sculptural form through thermoforming, with an internal metal armature and cast ballast providing structural stability from within.
What glass is used for the Treflo round top?
The round top uses extra-clear tempered glass that has itself been thermoformed, then back-lacquered for depth and luminosity. The edge is fully rounded, giving the profile a continuous, uninterrupted quality.
Where is the Cassina Treflo manufactured?
Treflo is produced at Cassina's Meda atelier in Lombardy, Italy, where the thermoforming techniques used for both the base and glass top have been developed and refined over decades. Cassina's in-house production allows for the tight tolerances the form requires.
How does the Treflo base achieve stability without visible support elements?
A concealed metal armature runs through the interior of the polyurethane base, paired with a cast ballast that lowers the center of gravity. This internal engineering keeps the exterior form entirely clean, so the sculptural silhouette reads without interruption.
Who designed the Cassina Treflo table?
Treflo is part of Cassina's ongoing exploration of advanced forming technologies, developed within the Meda atelier's tradition of collaborating with leading designers on structurally ambitious forms. Cassina has a long history of bringing technically demanding designs into production through its own manufacturing infrastructure.
