La sedia è stata concepita come un'estensione del corpo: una struttura scheletrica in tubolare d'acciaio è rivestita da una "pelle" di cuoio teso.

A dimostrazione della sua maestria nei dettagli di design e della sua creatività, la sedia non presenta bulloni esterni o fissaggi permanenti; al contrario, utilizza cerniere che corrono lungo l'interno delle gambe e sotto la seduta per mantenere la pregiata pelle tesa. Questa scelta ha due scopi funzionali: in primo luogo, rende le fodere più facili da rimuovere per praticità, ma permette anche alla pelle di muoversi e di adattarsi gradualmente alla forma dell'utente, rendendo la sedia più confortevole nel tempo.
