Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa, Italy in 1950. He studied art and architecture in Florence, where he developed a strong interest in conceptual art and the Radical Design movement that shaped Italian design culture during the 1970s. His early training fostered a deep understanding of materials, form, and design history, elements that continue to influence his distinctive approach.
Lazzeroni began his professional career in the early 1980s with interior architecture projects that quickly gained international attention and were widely published in design magazines. Over the years he has collaborated with prestigious companies including Poltrona Frau, Ceccotti Collezioni, Flexform, Giorgetti, and Baxter. His work is often described as “sentimental design,” combining classic inspiration with contemporary sophistication through refined craftsmanship, warm materials, and timeless proportions.
