Enzo Catellani considera la luce come un materiale a sé stante. La collezione PostKrisi, una delle serie più durature di Catellani & Smith, è nata come esplorazione della fibra di vetro sia come paralume che come scultura. La PostKrisi 100 porta avanti questa sensibilità con una presenza a terra che è in egual misura funzionale e contemplativa.
I bordi frastagliati e sfrangiati del paralume non sono elementi decorativi. Sono il meccanismo attraverso il quale la luce si scompone, proiettando ombre stratificate che cambiano con l'angolo di visione e le condizioni della stanza. Tre opzioni di finitura definiscono caratteri distinti:
- Fibra di vetro bianca dipinta a mano, diffusa e morbida
- Fodera in foglia d'argento, fredda e riflettente
- Fodera in foglia d'oro, calda e luminosa
Una base in metallo nichelato e un'asta in rame conferiscono alla struttura una precisione discreta. Il dimmer a pavimento integrato con funzione di memoria dell'ultimo passaggio permette alla lampada di mantenere la sua atmosfera da un utilizzo all'altro. La sorgente LED fornisce un calore di 2700K a 1.120 lumen, una calibrazione adatta all'intimità che la forma invita.
Realizzato in Italia, ogni pezzo è assemblato a mano presso l'atelier Catellani & Smith a Grassobbio, Bergamo.

What are the finish options for the PostKrisi 100?
The PostKrisi 100 is available in three finishes: hand-painted white fiberglass, fiberglass lined with silver-colored leaf, and fiberglass lined with gold-colored leaf. Each finish produces a distinctly different quality of light and shadow.
How does the PostKrisi 100's fringed shade affect the light?
The jagged, fringed edges of the fiberglass shade fragment and scatter light as it passes through and around the material, creating layered atmospheric shadows on surrounding surfaces. The effect changes depending on dimmer level and the viewer's position in the room.
