Nel 1927, Charlotte Perriand disegnò la LC7 per il suo appartamento di Parigi, vicino a Place Saint-Sulpice. Era una poltrona girevole costruita su una convinzione: i mobili dovrebbero servire il corpo con la stessa precisione con cui l'architettura serve lo spazio.
