Sengu Bold Sofa

$28,501

Patricia Urquiola returns to her own work with the Sengu Bold, a deeper and more grounded evolution of the Sengu sofa she first designed for Cassina. Where the original drew from Japanese craft sensibility and a structured wooden base, the Bold releases that architecture entirely. The silhouette descends directly to the floor, its sinuous profile unbroken, its presence simultaneously softer and more commanding.

The cushions are filled with 100% recycled PET fiber developed in collaboration with Cassina LAB. The choice reflects a commitment to considered craft without any concession to comfort. Padding is generous. Shapes are open. The invitation is genuine.

Yes - the Sengu Bold is a modular seating system comprising multiple configurable elements, allowing architects and designers to compose straight runs, corners, and open-ended arrangements suited to a wide variety of interior scales.

Who is Patricia Urquiola and what defines her design approach?

Patricia Urquiola is a Spanish-born, Milan-based designer whose work spans furniture, interiors, and architecture. Her practice is known for weaving tactile materiality, cultural reference, and formal warmth - designs that feel both considered and genuinely hospitable.
