Ogni posizionamento del pomello non è una questione di intuizione ma di intervallo matematico, governato dallo stesso sistema che Le Corbusier applicò all'architettura su scala di interi edifici.
La struttura è realizzata in rovere massello, caldo e considerato in contrasto con la precisione geometrica della forma. I caratteristici pomelli a forma di fungo variano in altezza secondo la sequenza Modulor, conferendo al pezzo un ritmo che si presenta sia funzionale che compositivo. Occupa un ingombro ridotto senza diminuirne la presenza.
