The Porcupine belongs to COVO's Rebels collection, a series that treats industrial materials as a design vocabulary rather than a limitation. Each pouf is hand-woven from neoprene wire of varying thicknesses, a flexible, resilient material drawn from the world of industry and redirected through artisan process.
The tension between the two worlds is precisely the point. Neoprene carries associations of utility and toughness, yet in the hands of skilled weavers it yields a surface that is soft, tactile, and quietly expressive. No two pieces emerge identically, and that variance is not an imperfection but the object's signature.
