Raw Edges, the Tel Aviv and London-based design studio founded by Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay, approaches material and geometry as a form of visual argument. The Plates collection, introduced in 2026, distills that sensibility into its purest form: discrete circular planes held by minimal vertical supports, each element doing exactly as much as it needs to and nothing more.
The Plates Side Table translates that shelving concept into a compact occasional piece. A single circular plate in iron or aluminum rests on a slender upright, the composition spare enough to read clearly across a room. Finished in a fine sand powder coat, the table is offered in black and Corten, two tones that respond very differently to their surroundings - the black recedes and anchors, while the Corten carries warmth and an industrial patina.
Its footprint is deliberate. The table works beside lounge seating, at a bedside, or within a reading corner without demanding attention it hasn't earned. Repeated in pairs, or placed alongside the taller Plates Shelf, it gains compositional weight. The circular geometry holds its identity at any scale.
