Miraggio Mirror
Made by Edra
Fernando and Humberto Campana have long drawn from the vocabulary of found materials and informal craft, reframing both within a rigorous design sensibility. The Miraggio Mirror is a direct expression of that practice.
Dozens of irregular mirrored acrylic shapes, each laser-cut and individually hand-finished, are joined by nylon ties that permit gentle, organic movement. The reflection is never static. An aluminum frame holds the composition slightly proud of the wall, allowing light to pass behind and around the piece, so the work breathes with its environment.
- Laser-cut mirrored acrylic elements, each hand-finished
- Nylon tie connections that allow subtle, continuous movement
- Aluminum frame with a proud-of-wall mounting
The result shifts with the viewer, dissolving any single coherent image into a constellation of fragments that read differently from every angle and in every quality of light. It is less a mirror than a meditation on reflection itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who designed the Miraggio Mirror for Edra?
The Miraggio Mirror was designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana, the São Paulo-based brothers whose practice is defined by an inventive use of humble or industrial materials transformed through craft and conceptual rigor.
What materials are used in the Miraggio Mirror?
The piece is constructed from laser-cut mirrored acrylic elements that are individually hand-finished, connected by nylon ties, and held within an aluminum frame. The nylon connections are integral to the design, allowing each element to move independently.
Does the Miraggio Mirror actually move?
Yes. The nylon tie connections between the mirrored acrylic fragments allow for subtle, organic movement, so the reflected image continuously shifts with air currents, the viewer's position, and changing light conditions.
How is the Miraggio Mirror mounted on the wall?
The aluminum frame holds the composition slightly proud of the wall, creating a gap that allows light to pass behind the piece and contribute to its overall optical effect.
Is the Miraggio Mirror made to order?
The Miraggio Mirror is a made-to-order piece produced by Edra. Lead times vary, and configuration or finish details are best confirmed through direct inquiry with a design specialist.
