Illusion - Two in One

Finnish designer Minna Niskakangas has a gift for embedding function within form without announcing it. The Illusion side table by COVO does exactly that: its circular top lifts away as a fully independent tray, transforming a simple gesture into a second object. Nothing about the exterior betrays the trick.
The three-legged base is powder-coated steel, a material Niskakangas uses for its precision and its ability to hold color with a flat, even depth. The silhouette is spare, the proportions resolved. Two sizes extend its range from a compact bedside companion to a generous living room surface.
