The Georg Bench occupies a rare position in contemporary furniture: quietly purposeful, with a material warmth that rewards close attention. Designed by Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm for Fritz Hansen, it draws from two distinct but complementary traditions, Nordic sensuality and Japanese restraint, arriving at a form that feels both grounded and spare.
Solid oak defines the structure, available in a natural finish or black-stained oak. The cushion pairings are considered with the same precision as the base: natural oak is offered with an unbleached linen cushion and a braided linen strap, or a dark grey wool cushion with a black leather strap. The black oak version pairs with a soft light grey wool cushion and leather strap. Each combination is a studied decision, not a customization menu.
