Element Round Table

Tokujin Yoshioka drew from his ongoing research into crystal growth, abstracting the angular, latticed geometry of natural crystalline structures into the table's tilted rectangular prism base. The result is a form that feels both scientifically derived and quietly sculptural.

The base consists of a rectangular prism positioned at a calculated angle, with one beveled corner contacting the floor and the opposite corner supporting the tabletop. The geometry is engineered to distribute load precisely, so the apparent tilt is a product of structural intention rather than visual trickery.

The Element collection is offered in multiple finishes and dimensions. As a made-to-order piece, specific configurations are best confirmed with an authorized Desalto representative to ensure the finish and scale are suited to the project.

Tokujin Yoshioka is a Japanese designer and artist known for work that bridges scientific inquiry and poetic form. He has collaborated with brands including Moroso, Toyota, and Hermès, and his pieces are held in the permanent collections of MoMA New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
