Rubber is not an obvious material for seating. COVO's Colosso pouf makes a case for reconsidering it entirely. Each piece is hand-crocheted from 25 mm braided rubber yarn, a process that transforms a material associated with industry into something warm, tactile, and quietly refined.
The result carries a textural tension that is rare in upholstered objects: the surface reads as soft, yet the structure beneath is elastic and resilient. There is no padding, no internal frame. The form holds itself through the logic of the crochet construction.
