Ardys Sofa

Patricia Urquiola conceived Ardys as a floor-level sofa system that makes softness legible from across a room. Deep stitching divides its seats and backrests into generous, quilted volumes, producing a graphic rhythm of raised and recessed forms that reads as visual balance before it is ever experienced as comfort.

The proportions draw from the language of the contemporary quilt, a domestic object reframed at architectural scale. Upholstery options extend from traditional textiles to technical fabrics developed through Cassina's research into materiality, each reinforcing the system's tactile identity without compromising its silhouette.

Ardys is configurable across multiple arrangements, allowing the composition to respond to the room rather than impose upon it. The low profile grounds the space; the stitched geometry gives it presence.
