Piero Lissoni ha concepito Spectrum come uno studio sul vetro inteso simultaneamente come struttura e superficie. Il tavolino assume la forma di una vasca bassa, le cui pareti sono costruite incollando lastre di vetro stratificato con un preciso angolo di 45 gradi, un metodo che trasforma il giunto stesso in parte della composizione.
La base a specchio riflette qualsiasi materiale la incornici dall'alto: i lati possono essere specificati in vetro stampato a scanalature, vetro stampato Quadretti, o vetro accoppiato con tessuto Masaccio o Botticelli. Il vetro colorato trasparente, disponibile in dodici colori, introduce profondità cromatica senza oscurare la geometria sottostante.
