With an artistic exuberance, Valentine Herrenschmidt creates calligraphic sculptures from metal wires that are imbued with personality. For her Words From Picasso Calligraphed Frames, the French sculptor uses her preferred medium to turn quotes by the famous artist into decorative accessories for the home. As a lifelong admirer of the work of Picasso, Herrenschmidt met with Claude Picasso - the artist's only surviving son and head of the Picasso Administration - and received unique access into his archives. The result is an original collection of five calligraphic sculptures framed in beech wood. Each piece is handmade in Herrenschmidt's studio and comes in a numbered series, signed by the artist and carrying the Picasso Administration seal of approval.
