Pavilion H
Made by Kettal
Designed by Kettal Studio
The Pavilion H is Kettal's most considered answer to outdoor architecture: a modular canopy that moves between shelter and room, shade and light, enclosure and openness. Designed by Kettal Studio, it begins as a clean geometric frame and builds outward according to need.
Ceiling configurations range from bioclimatic electric louvers and polycarbonate panels to Canadian cedar and a Venetian-style finish. Side panels follow the same logic of choice, offered in glass, fabric, aluminum, or cedar. Walls can be rendered in stone or softened with curtains.
- Sliding elements on both sides and ceiling allow the structure to breathe or close entirely
- Built-in lighting for evening atmosphere
- Optional shelves and integrated planters
- Expandable modular system adaptable to site and program
Each configuration shifts the character of a space with the hour, the season, or the occasion, making the Pavilion H as much a design object as a piece of outdoor infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ceiling options are available for the Kettal Pavilion H?
The Pavilion H offers five ceiling types: bioclimatic electric louvers, polycarbonate, aluminum, Canadian cedar, and a Venetian-style finish. The bioclimatic option allows motorized adjustment of the louver angle to control sunlight and ventilation.
Can the Pavilion H be expanded or combined with other modules?
Yes. The Pavilion H is built on a modular system that can be scaled and configured to accommodate everything from an intimate seating area to a large-format entertaining or dining space. Individual units can be joined to extend the covered area.
What side panel and wall materials does the Pavilion H support?
Side panels are available in glass, fabric, aluminum, and Canadian cedar. Walls can be specified in stone or with curtains, and sliding elements on the sides and ceiling allow the enclosure level to be adjusted as needed.
Is the Kettal Pavilion H suitable for year-round outdoor use?
Kettal engineers its outdoor structures for durability across varied climates. The choice of materials, including aluminum frames and weather-resistant cedar, supports extended outdoor exposure, though specific suitability depends on the local environment and chosen configuration.
Who designed the Pavilion H, and what is Kettal's design background?
The Pavilion H was designed by Kettal Studio, the brand's in-house design team. Kettal was founded in Barcelona in 1964 and has since developed a body of outdoor furniture and structures known for rigorous material selection and a distinctly European formal sensibility.
