Low Pad
Made by Cappellini
Designed by Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison designed the Low Pad around a single, quiet conviction: comfort is a question of proportion, not mass. The result is an armchair that earns its ease through geometry rather than volume, its curved beech plywood shell shaped to receive the body with an economy of means that few pieces achieve.
Multi-density polyurethane foam padding follows the shell's contours, offering genuine support without the bulk that so often defines upholstered seating. The base is available in satined stainless steel or matte-varnished in white, mud, or black, each option finished with rubber feet that keep the piece settled on the floor without visual noise.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the design philosophy behind the Low Pad?
Jasper Morrison developed the Low Pad around the concept of the 'super normal,' the idea that the most resolved objects are those that feel inevitable rather than invented. The chair prioritizes proportion and restrained form over visual complexity.
What upholstery options are available for the Low Pad?
The Low Pad is available with fixed upholstery in a range of Cappellini fabrics and leathers. Because it is made to order, specific material options are best confirmed at the time of inquiry.
Is the Low Pad suitable for contract or commercial use?
Yes. The Low Pad holds Greenguard Gold Certification, meeting stringent standards for chemical emissions, which makes it appropriate for commercial interiors, hospitality environments, and projects requiring healthy-building credentials.
What are the leg finish options for the Low Pad?
The legs are offered in satined stainless steel or matte-varnished in white, mud, or black, all with rubber feet. The finish choice can significantly shift the chair's visual weight within a space.
