Giulio Cappellini conceived the Selettiva Cantù as a structural proposition - a chair in which the three-legged base is not a functional afterthought but the defining gesture of the entire form. The legs rise with deliberate, bold thickness, carrying the eye upward through the seat and backrest in one continuous architectural arc.
The Brutalist reference is intentional and direct. There is weight here, both visual and physical, and the silhouette refuses easy domestication. Against that rigour, the upholstered seat and back introduce a softness that reads almost as counterpoint, giving the piece an internal tension that animates a room rather than merely occupying it.
The oak structure is available in a natural or black-stained finish, and in open-pore lacquer in burgundy, blue, and green. Matte and glossy lacquer options extend across Cappellini's full signature colour palette, allowing the chair to be tuned to a wide range of interior sensibilities without compromising the integrity of the original form.
