Vincent Van Duysen

Born 1962 | Belgium

Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962 in Belgium. He studied interior architecture at the Sint-Lucas School of Architecture in Ghent before beginning his career in Tokyo, where he worked with the architect Kazuyo Sejima. This early experience deepened his understanding of space, light, and materiality, elements that now define his work. Van Duysen’s design philosophy focuses on clarity, simplicity, and the poetry of material presence, crafting objects and environments that feel both elegant and timeless.

Over the years, Van Duysen has collaborated with many of the world’s leading design brands, including B&B Italia, Molteni & C, Flos, Armani/Casa, Poliform, Serax, Kristalia, and Gervasoni. His work spans furniture, lighting, accessories, and architecture, always united by a quiet sophistication and rigorous attention to detail. His designs are featured in major international exhibitions and are part of important museum and private collections. Van Duysen lives and works in Antwerp, where his studio continues to influence contemporary design with a balance of refinement and restraint.
