Designed by Formafantasma

Domande Frequenti
Who designed the Flos Wireline lamp?
Wireline was designed by Formafantasma, the Amsterdam-based studio founded by Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin. The studio is known for projects that examine the intersection of craft, ecology, and cultural identity.
What materials are used in the Wireline pendant?
The Wireline features a transparent tubular glass diffuser that produces soft, even light distribution, suspended by a rubber cable. The cable is available in pink or forest green, reflecting Formafantasma's interest in the expressive potential of industrial materials.
What award did the Flos Wireline win?
The Wireline received Interior Design magazine's Best of Year Award in 2021, recognizing it as one of the most significant lighting designs of that year.
What kind of spaces suit the Wireline suspension lamp?
Its graphic silhouette and restrained materiality make Wireline well suited to spaces where light is treated as both a functional and compositional element, such as dining areas, studios, or architecturally considered residential interiors.
Is the Flos Wireline made to order?
Yes, the Wireline is produced to order, which reflects the considered, craft-oriented approach that both Flos and Formafantasma bring to its production. Lead times should be confirmed at the time of purchase.
