Parasole
Made by Cassina
Designed by Dirk Wynants
- Telo piatto in acrilico, idrorepellente
Forma e funzione qui arrivano come la stessa cosa.

Domande Frequenti
How does the Parasol's vertical folding mechanism work?
Rather than collapsing the canopy outward and horizontally, the Parasol folds its ribs vertically along the central mast. This keeps the closed footprint extremely narrow, making it well-suited to terraces where space between seating areas is limited.
Is the Parasol canopy suitable for prolonged outdoor exposure?
The canopy is constructed from water-repellent acrylic fabric, which resists fading and moisture over extended outdoor use. The aluminum frame and fiberglass-reinforced ribs are likewise specified for durability in exterior conditions.
Can the base rotate freely, or does it lock in position?
The base rotates a full 360 degrees, allowing precise orientation to the sun at any hour of the day. It can be positioned and held at any angle to suit the light conditions of a specific terrace or garden setting.
Who is Dirk Wynants and what defines his design approach?
Dirk Wynants is a Belgian designer known for bringing the rigor of interior architecture to outdoor furniture and objects. His work prioritizes structural logic and spatial efficiency, often questioning the conventions of how outdoor products are typically used and stored.
Is the Parasol available with integrated wheels?
Yes, integrated wheels are available as an option, allowing the Parasol to be repositioned across a terrace or garden without lifting the base. This is particularly useful for larger outdoor areas where the shade requirement shifts throughout the day.
