The Folder takes its name from its defining form: a surface folded like a sheet of paper, where the crease itself becomes the source of diffused light. It reflects Davide Groppi's broader philosophy of reducing the fixture to its barest, most poetic expression so that light, not the object, occupies the room.

967 Design is the creative studio behind several objects in the Davide Groppi collection. The studio works within Groppi's signature reductive language, approaching each design as an exercise in formal discipline rather than decoration.

The Folder's flat, low-profile form makes it particularly well suited to corridors, entries, and rooms where architectural restraint is the guiding principle. It integrates into a wall surface rather than asserting itself as a decorative element.

The Folder uses integrated LED technology, meaning the light source is built directly into the fixture. This allows the profile to remain as thin and unobtrusive as the design intends.

Davide Groppi, based in Piacenza, Italy, designs lighting from the conviction that the fixture should be as invisible as possible, allowing light itself to shape perception and mood. Each piece in the collection is conceived as an act of subtraction, arriving at form only after removing everything unnecessary.
