Il sistema USM Haller nasce come architettura. Quando Fritz Haller progettò la fabbrica USM a Münsingen, in Svizzera, riconobbe che l'edificio richiedeva un'infrastruttura d'arredamento di pari precisione. Lavorando al fianco del proprietario di USM Paul Schärer, Haller tradusse questa disciplina in un linguaggio modulare di tubi d'acciaio cromati e connettori sferici, un sistema che è rimasto in produzione ininterrotta dal 1969.
La Credenza C2A è tra le sue configurazioni più considerate. I vani superiori aperti offrono accesso immediato a libri, oggetti e materiali da lavoro, mentre due ante a ribalta con serratura sottostanti nascondono il contenimento senza interrompere la calma orizzontale della composizione. Le proporzioni attraggono lo sguardo senza esigerlo.
