Alessi

Dal 1921 | Italy

Alessi was founded in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi in the small town of Omegna, where the company began as a metal workshop producing nickel‑plated and silver‑brass tableware that embodied the precision and soul of Italian craftsmanship. Under the leadership of the next generations, Alessi transformed from a family workshop into one of the world’s most influential “Factories of Italian Design”, opening its doors to architects, artists and industrial designers beginning in the 1950s. By the 1970s, the brand became synonymous with experimental creativity through collaborations with visionaries such as Achille Castiglioni, Ettore Sottsass, Richard Sapper and later Philippe Starck, creating objects that blurred the line between art and industry. Today Alessi continues to champion poetic design with over 900 creative collaborators and more than a thousand contemporary objects that bring cultural imagination into everyday rituals, honoring its mission as a “Dream Factory” where beauty, utility and emotion meet.
