Belgian artist Guido Deleu conceived The Visitor as a series of ceramic figurines finished with natural clay and raw color pigments. Each piece is made by hand at Cores da Terra, the studio of Selma Calheira in Brazil, a place recognized for its commitment to cultivating local artisans and contributing to the cultural and economic life of one of the country's most underserved regions.

The result is an object that carries its origins openly. The surface reads of earth and process. The form is spare, quiet, and distinct enough to hold a room on its own. Collected in multiples, the figures enter into a kind of conversation with one another and with the space around them.
